Flashback Friday: Bell Bottoms Are the Latest It-Girl Trend You HAVE to Try

| Fashion

When it comes to fashion, I’m definitely not afraid to take risks. So when I saw that 70s trends, like ruffled, billowy sleeves and bell bottoms were coming back in style, I wanted to hop on those trends ASAP!

And since it’s finally Spring and the weather is warming up, it’s all about good vibes and sunshine! And what better way to get in the mood for festival season than taking it back to the Woodstock days with good old fashioned bell bottoms?

As with any statement piece or trendy item, I didn’t want to splurge on a designer brand, so I headed to Zara to pick up these amazing high-waisted, ruffled-bell-bottom pants! It’s interesting that this season, whether it’s about the arms or the legs, it’s all about the extra detailing at the end — 70s style. Having one or two affordable pieces from places like Zara, Forever 21, Macy’s, etc. is the easiest way to keep from draining your bank account on something you might only wear a few times. And hey, if you DO love the trend, you can always invest in a designer piece!

Ruffle-detailing is all the rage right now!

Wearing the trend in classic black tones down the 70s hippie vibe that bell bottoms can give off.

Now, I have to be honest with you here — I’m a skinny jeans girl, through and through, so keeping up with this trend will most likely be a seasonal thing. And that’s okay! Just because something is in style doesn’t mean you have to wear it to death!
