Lingerie is no longer just for the bedroom ladies…it’s for the street too.
I am not aware if we should be giving Victoria’s Secret full credit for this trend, since we keep seeing all their angels hitting the streets with their trendy lingerie. Then again these girls are so beautiful they can make wearing paper bag look hot.
We’ve been seeing some angels prepping up for the Shanghai fashion show while out and about in NYC in their VS lingerie. I remember when I caught up with some of the Angels at Coachella, they were telling me how much they love the new collecion by VS cause you can literally wear your bra with your denim short shorts (watch below).
It’s hard for me to wear my lingerie out on the street-walk right now this second since ince I am 6 months pregnant. Being a fashion fanatic, I am hoping I can catch this trend in January after I deliver my baby.
I have to give a shout out to someone who is killing the lingerie inspired looks in the most chicest manner possible. Actress Charlize Theron has been confidently showing off her bra this past summer while promoting her latest film Atomic Blonde. From the red carpetinBerlin, where she wore a Dior bra, to Los Angeles, where she went through the motions of covering up another bra by topping it off with a sheer shirt. Charlize is a fan of taking the lingerie out of the bedroom. She’s a mother and I really like how she took the classy route. Once I deliver my baby, I will definitely take notes from Charlize on how to rock this look.
I have to be honest, I LOVE FASHION, but sometimes it’s hard being a mom and rocking a trend that can make you look ridiculous or feel like your trying to hard. Jennifer Lawrence shows us another way to show off your lingerie without actually wearing your bra out. She wore her Christian Dior bra with a see through shirt that showed off the bra straps.
For anyone out there reading this that is a huge fan of lingerie-inspired looks, good news for you. Brands like Dolce & Gabbana and Dior are incorporating more and more of this look into their red carpet collections. Bella Hadid is leading the pack of showing off your lingerie in a beautiful couture gown.
What do you guys think about this trend? Are you a fan? Would you rock it?
