How To Create A Brand

| Entrepreneur

A family member recently asked me how I built my brand. As I was explaining to him I realized that there was so much I wanted to explain. I thought it would be easier to write it out and share with you all.

Mission Statement:

Number one thing to know about building a brand is knowing what your brand is. If you don’t know what message you want to convey to the world out there then it’s going to be hard to build your brand. It’s important to have your mission statement that comes from the heart. Think the title of a movie that represents your brand.

Who is your audience?

It’s important to know who your audience is and who you want to reach out to. If your followers are all men who love Harley Davidson motorcycles then you posting pictures on your Instagram baking isn’t going to work. It’s always good to ask your followers what they want to see more from you.

Don’t know your audience then find a Niche.

If you don’t know your audience, I recommend finding a niche that works with your brand. For example, you are a makeup artist that only uses vegan products. My brand used to be a host who did red carpet interviews an now I am known to be a momtrepreneur (working mom). I try to always give my mom tribe the content that they want to see.

Collaborate!

It’s important to collaborate with like-minded individuals who believe in you and the same things as you do. Collaborating also helps bring awareness to one another’s brand.

Patience.

Growing a brand and name takes time. If you don’t get the results you want immediately, then don’t freak out. It takes a lot of campaigning to get your name out there and mission statement across. Start attending conferences where you can meet like-minded individuals. Start being involved with groups or forums that work with your brand and cause.

Give Back to your followers!

It’s great to have a reward system in place for your biggest fans.

In my opinion, it’s good to sit down and write everything down and try to visualize where you see yourself in the next 5 years. Once you have that clear view in your vision, it’s going to be clear where you want to go and who you want to be.

Hope you guys enjoy this post!
