5 Tips to Boost Your Self-Confidence

Something my followers ask me all the time is, “How are you so confident?”

The truth is, it’s taken me a long time to get to a place where I’m confident in my skin. I wanted to share some tips on how I’ve learned to boost my confidence and get myself to where I am today.

1. LOOK FLY

When I wake up in the morning and look like shit, I feel like shit. But when I go to work , I want to look my best. Because when I look my best, I feel my best. My confidence is on fleek when I have my makeup on fleek.

2. STOP DEPENDING ON THE OPINIONS OF OTHERS

It’s important to know who you are and where you’re going. There will always be obstacles that you encounter in life. I’ve lost jobs throughout the years, and I’ve doubted myself. I used to be too dependent on what other people thought about me. That’s not the right mindset. If you know who you are and where you’re going, even if you lose your job, it won’t matter if you can stay confident in the direction you’re going. You’ll recover and be even stronger.

3. HAVE A MANTRA

Every morning, I repeat positive mantras and affirmations to boost my confidence. Give yourself the nourishment your soul needs, like telling yourself you’re beautiful, telling yourself you’re amazing, and telling yourself you’ve got this! I say these mantras while I wash my face in the morning, looking into the mirror and repeating them over and over.

4. CELEBRATE YOURSELF

We’re living in a time and a culture that celebrates and appreciates diversity among people more and more every day. When I started on YouTube 10 years ago, it was all about trying to morph into what the world thought was beautiful. Now everyone can celebrate their differences, their individuality, the “flaws” that make them who they are. Why should any of us want to be the same as anyone else? That’s boring! Be you.

5. DEVELOP A HEALTHY MINDSET

When I don’t work out, eat right or meditate …I feel shitty. I don’t want to get out of bed or leave the house. But when I do work out, eat right and meditate, I release all the negative energies in my body. When my mind is healthy, my confidence is in a good place.
